All PowerZone events are designed to build self-esteem, create a desire to make positive life-style choices, and to build safe, solid relationships - student to student and student to adult. The results of these activities and events will make life changes at home, at school and in their future.
A fun, safe place to come after school to receive help and tutoring with homework. We have a computer-lab with lots of great computers!
PowerZone Weekly Celebration
This is a time of Bible study, teaching, worship and ministry each Wednesday night at 6:30 pm
People from local churches take turns feeding the PowerZone students and leaders on Wednesday nights at 5:45 pm. This is a great time of friendship and fun.
We have an initial training campout each June, with monthly trainings and ministry opportunities for our student and adult leaders.
Trips, Encounters and Camps
PowerZone students may attend two Spiritual Encounters (Spring and Fall) each year. The highlight of the year is our annual "Camp @ the Coast" trip to Newport, Oregon. Many of the PowerZone have learned to snowboard and attend those trips in January and February. Lots of fun!!!
Everything we do takes a fundraiser so PowerZone students have learned to direct cars for football games and track meets at our Car Parking Fundraisers. They have also learned to make great PowerZone Ultimate Pizzas. They are the bomb!!
At least twice a year PZ kidz get to go to Reach Beyond Challenge Course in Kennewick. This is a great team building time as well as personal goal setting and stretching
This is for those who are 18 to 24 who have shown an interest in continuing to help students at PowerZone. These young people have come up through the ranks of student and student leadership and then choose to continue on as a PZ intern. Some have finished their internship and joined the adult leadership team.
PowerZone also helps to support those who wish to go to YWAM (Youth With A Mission) for a six month Discipleship Training School and missionary outreach trip.
